Physiological Response of Lamb to Zinc Supplementation during Heat Stress Season

The aim of this research was to evaluate the role zinc supplementation on reduction heat stress in local lambs during hot season. In current experiment, twenty-seven were housed indoor individual pens (1.50 × 1.30m). Zinc added fresh drinking water three different levels namely T1 (0 mg Zn/day), T2 (36 Zn/day) and T3 (72 Zn/day). Serum (zinc; µmol/L), Alkaline phosphate (ALP; U/I), Alanine amino transferase (ALT; Aspartate (AST; Creatine kinase (CK; Blood glucose level (mg/dl), Triiodothyronine hormone (T3; ng/ml), Thyroxin (T4; ng/ml) measured once per week. results show significant decrease (AST) (week 4), (CK) at 6) T1group. Also decreased triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxin (T4) 4). Whereas serum alkaline (ALP) increased, also blood increased significantly 5) when supplemented with 36 / zinc/ day.
